School Story:
Moved to Rocky River a couple of months before the end of my junior year. Had attended schools on Texas and Louisiana all my life so it was quite a culture shift. Had almost a straight A average from my previous schools, but Miss McKee suggested that I repeat my junior year since I transferred so late and had come from inferior Southern schools. I dug my heels in and she finally relented and proposed that if I could pass all my junior finals I could go on to the senior year. The most difficult class was English as I hadn't read any of the novels. But I made it! Enjoyed my senior year immensely. (The only other interaction that I had with Miss McKee was when she called me to her office and told me that I was carrying my books wrong...".a River girl does not carry them on her hip"...I was to hold them in front of me).
