William A. Henahan, or Bill, 70,  passed away April 5 after a long battle with cancer. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he has resided in Roanoke for the last 30 years.

He is preceded in death by parents Margaret & William T. Henahan, brother Jack Henahan and sister Carol Lee. Bill is survived by long time companion Linda Johnson, son Billy Henahan, daughter Terah Johnson, brothers and sisters Jeanne Henahan, Tom Henahan, Tim Henahan (Mimi), Mickey Henahan (Suzette) & dozens of loving, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; especially best friend Bill Baker.

His hobbies included anything outdoors including sports, where he was a huge Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers fan. Bird-watching and tree identification also greatly fascinated him.

A viewing will be done Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel.
